John’s Story
John was the first social worker employed by the nationally regarded agency addressing homelessness, the Hutt Street Centre. His undergraduate degree in Economics with a postgraduate degree in Social Administration. He has worked in all levels of government, local, state and federal as well as extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector, including 8 years as Chief Executive Officer of the St Vincent de Paul Society (SA).
John lives in Adelaide, South Australia where he writes on many contemporary issues and is working on a range of creative writing projects spanning themes of social, political and spiritual significance . His wife, Anne, and four children are involved in a range of pursuits including political activism, sport, refugee support, finance, and human resource management.
